Leicester City have completed the signing Gokhan Inler on a three-year deal, subject to international clearance.
The Switzerland midfielder moves to the King Power Stadium for an undisclosed fee from Napoli, and is seen as a possible replacement for Esteban Cambiasso – who recently joined Olympiakos.
The Swiss Captain, who played at the 2010 and 2014 World Cup Finals, could be thrust into action against Tottenham this weekend – should his registration be confirmed in time.
Inler boasts an impressive playing CV, representing both FC Zurich and Udinese, before moving to Napoli where he played Champions League football.
His signature represents something of a coup for Foxes manager Claudio Ranieri, who is looking to continue his side’s impressive start to the season.
Leicester currently sit second in the Premier League with two wins from two, having finished last campaign in 14th place.
