PC gamers are clamouring for Red Dead Redemption 2, as a recent petition on change.org has garnered over 50,000 signatures.
The original Red Dead Redemption, released six years ago, did not and has still not released on PC, with only those on Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One able to play Rockstar’s classic take on the Western genre.
The original game was a critical and commercial success and being absent from the PC platform left many PC gamers feeling left out in the cold by studio Rockstar.
Red Dead Redemption was given backwards compatibility for Xbox One owners last year, and whilst the game did not receive a graphical upgrade, sales for the game spiked.
Despite the mass interest from players on all platforms, the announcement trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 showed only the PS4 and Xbox One logos, leaving PC gamers to suspect the sequel will also not see a PC release.
The original Red Dead Redemption was the sequel of Red Dead Revolver and told the story of former outlaw, John Marston, fighting for amnesty from the government in exchange for bringing in his former gang members.
Rockstar have yet to announce any story details for Red Dead Redemption 2.
The trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 was released and can be viewed right here on Roobla.
