Video: Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer – features John Marston and Van Der Linde gang

RockStar Games have released the third trailer for the upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2 (2018)

Based on what we’ve seen so far, it looks as though there will be an emphasis on the plotting and execution of heists, much like GTA V (2013). The trailer also gave us a greater insight into the game’s setting, plot and characters.

“America, 1899. The end of the wild west era has begun as lawmen hunt down the last remaining outlaw gangs. Those who will not surrender or succumb are killed,” reads the official description from RockStar Games. “After a robbery goes badly wrong in the western town of Blackwater, Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are forced to flee.

“With federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation massing on their heels, the gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive. As deepening internal divisions threaten to tear the gang apart, Arthur must make a choice between his own ideals and loyalty to the gang who raised him … Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America at the dawn of the modern age.”

You can also see John Marston towards the end of the trailer, indicating he may play a greater role in the story than originally thought.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is slated for worldwide release on 26th October 2018.
