A full reveal of the third instalment in the Mafia series will take place next week during Gamescom, 2K today announced.
The studio revealed that Mafia III will be revealed with an announcement trailer on Wednesday 5th August at 1PM BST.
No further details were released.
The title was long rumoured to be in production. In March 2014, an alleged casting call document leaked online, which apparently revealed characters for the next instalment.
And, in January, Rick Pasqualone, who voiced protagonist Vito Scaletta in Mafia II, hinted on his Twitter account that a possible announcement regarding Mafia III would be coming very soon.
Most recently four new domains were registered which appeared to point an upcoming announcement.
