The developer of the Infamous series has laid off staff members, it was confirmed today.
Sucker Punch Productions, also the developer of the Sly Cooper series, suffered some layoffs recently but an exact number isn’t known with Sony only confirming a “reduction in workforce”.
“[Sony Computer Entertainment America] can confirm a reduction in workforce has taken place at Sucker Punch Productions,” Sony said in a statement to IGN.
“Sucker Punch is appreciative of the tremendous work team members contributed to the Infamous and Sly Cooper series, and wishes them the best in their next endeavours.”
The studio’s most recent work was Infamous: Second Son, which launched in March this year and has sold over 1 million copies.
Their upcoming project, Infamous: First Light, a standalone DLC, will be released next week whilst a retail standalone will launch in September.
