Due to the impending release of Ridley Scott’s Prometheus we’ve got a certain franchise on our minds this week. See if you can guess what that may be…
1. Prometheus
Finally, after months of speculation and hype, Ridley Scott’s Prometheus is nearly upon us. We’ve been treated to copious viral videos and it’s an understatement to say that we’re excited. Read our Prometheus coverage here.
2. Alien
The film that started it all… Ridley Scott’s original sci-fi horror created a legion of fans and inspired countless movies upon its release in 1979. You can read our review here.
3. Alien 2
Our Alien coverage continues on Tuesday with Alien 2. Taking the mantle from Scott, James Cameron created a slightly different beast when he directed Alien 2. It continued the theme whilst going in a slightly different direction… be sure to keep up to date with our Alien coverage all this week!
4. Amour
Having won the 2012 Palme d’Or, Michael Haneke’s Amour is the film to watch. Achieving mass critical acclaim as well as pleasing the judges, the film focuses on two elderly people as they struggle to adjust to life after a series of strokes effects them both.
5. Snow White and the Huntsman
Also released theatrically this week is the year’s second Snow White adaptation. Snow White and the Huntsman goes for a darker take on the tale than Tarsem Singh’s effort earlier in the year and stars Kristen Stewart, Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron.
