Adam West will star in LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, Warner Bros. have announced.
The legendary actor, who portrayed Batman in the 1960s classic TV series of Batman, will voice 1960s Batman for the upcoming title.
“I’ve always felt that I’ve been very fortunate,” said West, speaking in a new cast trailer, shown above.
“How many actors get a chance to create an iconic character that goes on and on … and for me to have been part of this is rewarding, it’s challenging, and it’s fun.”
Also staring in the game is The Last of Us actor Troy Baker, who will voice Batman, Travis Willingham as Superman, Christopher Corey Smith as Joker, Laura Bailey as Wonder Woman, Josh Keaton as Green Lantern, and Dee Bradley Baker as Brainiac.
Announced in June, during Nintendo’s E3 conference, Beyond Gotham follows Batman as he joins forces with other DC characters and head into space to stop Brainiac from destroying Earth.
More than 150 characters will be unlockable and playable including members of the Justice League, and LEGO figures such as Cyborg, Solomon Grundy, and more.
Iconic locations such as the Batcave and the Justice League Watchtower will also be featured.
It’s out in stores in autumn for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, Nintendo Wii U, and Nintendo 3DS.
