A speed-running marathon has raised over $700,000 for charity.
Summer Games Done Quick, an annual convention where a bunch of gamers gather to complete video games in the fastest time possible, was held from June 22nd to June 28th and raised $717,588 for the Doctors Without Borders charity organisation.
Doctors Without Borders provides emergency medical care to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, natural disaster, or exclusion from healthcare in more than 65 countries.
A total of 19,072 donations were made as the convention was streamed via Twitch TV featuring 160 gaming titles.
