Gran Turismo 7 in development at Polyphony Digital

A new Gran Turismo is currently in development, Polyphony Digital has confirmed.

Studio President Kazunori Yamauchi revealed to EuroGamer yesterday that Gran Turismo 7 is currently in development for the PlayStation 4 but won’t be out in 2014.

“We are working on the title,” he said. “I don’t think it’ll make this year.”

Yamauchi also said that the game wouldn’t be a prologue and would feature a number of new cars.

He said that sound improvements will also be added and standard cars will remain.

“Each car has its own fans. So I think we’ll hang on to the archive. In the meanwhile some of those cars we may be able to make into Premium cars as they become available – but basically we’re more focused on increasing the number of premium cars.”

No expected release date or window was discussed.
