Latino Review recently revealed that Josh Brolin will play the super villain called Thanos in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. The actor is rumoured to have a small role in James Gunn’s film as the character.
Thanos is a serious threat in the Marvel universe and he has fought numerous superheroes over the years. He first appeared in The Avengers post-credits scene and he is also expected to appear in The Avengers: Age of Ultron. In Guardians of the Galaxy Thanos is the boss of Ronan (Lee Pace) who is the main villain in the film.
This is an interesting role for Brolin as it will be his first appearance in a Marvel superhero film. It is probably safe to assume that he will also play Thanos in Age of Ultron which will give him a larger role. The actor is apparently only voicing the character though which is a shame. This has led to speculation that Thanos will be a CGI character similar to the Hulk.
Guardians of the Galaxy will be out on August 1st, 2014 so look out for it.
