Electronic Arts have announced a video game tie-in for the 2014 Brazil FIFA World Cup.
EA Sports’ 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil will see brand new gameplay innovations and improvements from FIFA 14, which launched late last year, along with the deepest set of game modes ever in a EA Sports tournament title.
A press release said that players will have the ability to accelerate, decelerate, change direction quickly on and off the ball with the game’s Explosive Movement feature and the new World Class Control feature which consists of Response Dribbling and Pinpoint Passing.
100 new animations have also been included and fan reactions to goals will be seen both in stadiums and in public places such as London city centre.
203 nationals teams with 7,469 players will be available to play with as well as featuring 19 officially licensed managers, 21 new stadiums and 12 authentic stadiums based in Brazil, the host of the 2014 World Cup.
A tournament mode title Road to the FIFA World Cup enables players to choose from 203 national teams and play with one to 32 players locally through qualifying rounds and on to the group stages. Also new is Road to Rio de Janeiro, a mode that lets players win their way across a map of Brazil’s 12 host cities in licensed and authentic stadiums online.
The game hits store on April 15th in North America and April 17th in Europe and is available for pre-order now for PS3 and Xbox 360.
