[dropcap]N[/dropcap]aughty Dog have announced that brand new downloadable content for a story expansion of The Last of Us is coming soon.
The developers of the survival thriller have promised to release a teaser trailer for the story expansion pack at 11pm EDT on Thursday November 14th, according to a tweet sent out by Geoff Keighley.
Details about the content are still under tight wraps but Naughty Dog Creative Director, Neil Druckmann, said on Twitter that players will be able to find out which brand new character they will be able to control.
He wrote: “The Last of Us story DLC teaser trailer drops this Thursday on Spike TV and online at 11 PM ET. Find out who’ll you’ll be playing as.”
According to Gamespot, the planned release for the expansion pack is between December 2013 and January 2014.
Released in May, The Last of Us received worldwide critical acclaim, earning numerous 10 scores and five out of five ratings. According to VGChartz, as of October 26th, the PS3 exclusive title has sold 3.34 million units.
In late October, the game was recognised for its stunning debut at the Golden Joystick Awards winning Best Newcomer and Best Storytelling. Naughty Dog was also presented with the Best Studio award.
The Last of Us is currently available for PlayStation 3.
