[dropcap]S[/dropcap]am Worthington has revealed that the Avatar sequels may begin shooting in October 2014. According to the Guardian he revealed this interesting rumour while being interviewed for Sydney’s Nova 96.9 radio station. Worthington also mentioned that the writers are still working on the script right now, and that all the sequels will be made back-to-back.
Director James Cameron hasn’t confirmed if this rumour is true or not, but it would be good news for sci-fi fans. Cameron has also hinted that the next film may take place on another planet in the same solar system as Pandora. This would be a wise move, as it would give viewers a whole new world to experience in Avatar 2. The series will need new ideas and worlds to captivate audiences for the three planned sequels – Cameron is a reliable director though, and will no doubt deliver the goods.
Most of the main cast members are rumoured to be returning for the sequels, including Sigourney Weaver’s character, according to ComingSoon.net
Avatar 2, 3 and 4 will be released between December 2016 and December 2018.
