Idris Elba has joined the ever growing list of actors stepping behind the camera. Here’s the first teaser trailer for his directorial debut, Yardie.
Set in Kingston and Hackney spanning the 70s and 80s, it tells the story of a young Jamaican man, D (Aml Ameen) still haunted by the murder of his older brother. Dispatched to London by Kingston Don and music producer King Fox (Sheldon Shepherd), he reconnects with his childhood sweetheart and his daughter. However, before he can be convinced to leave his life of crime, he encounters the man who murdered his brother and embarks on a quest for retribution.
