Video: Middle Earth: Shadow of War Gameplay

WB Games and Monolith revealed a first look at gameplay today from Middle Earth: Shadow of War and boy is it epic.

A sequel to the surprise hit Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor (2014), Shadow of War takes the series to new levels with an advancement of the innovative Nemesis System. In the video above, the new Nemesis Fortresses is demonstrated showing off the ability to conquer dynamic strongholds and forge your own personalised Orc army.

Using the power of the New Ring players will be able to recruit followers during enemy encounters and “establish entirely new stories of loyalty, betrayal and revenge.” Everyone will experience different twists and turns in their own original tale. Combine that with the fantastic combat system and Shadow of War is looking like conquering this year, much like it’s predecessor did 3 years ago.

Middle Earth: Shadow of War will be available for Xbox One, Project Scorpio, Windows 10 PC (Windows Store and Steam) PS4 and PS4 Pro from August 25th.
