The upcoming Batgirl DLC for Batman: Arkham Knight will be set prior to the events of the 2011 title Arkham Asylum, Warner Bros have revealed in a new trailer.
As announced last week, Batgirl: A Matter of Family will introduce the Batgirl character for the very first time in the series will a new DLC story content for the critically acclaimed Arkham Knight.
When The Joker kidnaps Commissioner Gordon and holds him hostage at the Seagate Amusement Park, Batgirl and Robin must fight against the odds to save him and avoid falling victim to The Joker’s sinister plan.
It will also feature an all-new location with multiple missions, side quests and secrets.
A new hacking system will also be included to progress through the new world and solve puzzles.
It will first be released on July 14th for those who have previously purchased the Batman: Arkham Knight season pass and are connected to the internet.
Later it will be released separately on July 21st for £5.79 on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live.
Arkham Knight launched last week to critical acclaim. It has gone on to become the week one best-seller of the series, beating its predecessors Arkham City and Arkham Asylum.
But it has had a trouble start on PC, facing numerous issues before being pulled from sale until such issues have been fixed.
It is currently available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
