With just under seven weeks to go until the beginning of the new season, we look at the deals which could still happen. The top clubs will all be competing for some of the world’s best players. Here are a few of them.
Everyone in football is currently talking about Raheem Sterling. Where will he be playing next season? Manchester City are rumoured to have had a £40 million bid rejected, with Liverpool holding out for £50 million. With interest also from the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and possibly Real Madrid, it promises to be a fierce battle to secure his signature.
Likely Outcome – Sterling will go to Manchester City for £45 million.
Morgan Schneiderlin’s Southampton future has been in doubt since last summer when he expressed his desire to leave. It is thought that Arsenal were in pole position to sign him, although recently he has also been linked with Manchester United and Tottenham. I expect him to leave the saints this transfer window.
Likely Outcome – He will join Manchester United for £25 million.
World cup winning centre back Mats Hummels is constantly linked with a move to the Premier League. Over the past few years he has established himself as one of the top centre backs in European football. If he does choose to come to England, all the top clubs will be on alert.
Likely Outcome – He will stay at Borussia Dortmund for one more year.
One of the hottest prospects currently in world football is Paul Pogba of Juventus. He is the top transfer target of Manchester City. It is rumoured that Manchester United are also keen take him back. But with all the top clubs in europe vying for his signature, it will be difficult for any Premier League team to win the race to sign him.
Likely Outcome – He will agree a deal to join Barcelona.

Another young english talent who will be looking for a move back into the premiership is Charlie Austin. He had an exceptional season with Queens Park Rangers last year. A host of clubs are interested in signing him. West Ham United, Newcastle United, Tottenham and Chelsea are all ready to make bids.
Likely Outcome – Joins West Ham for £12 million.
There will be a lot of activity between Premier League clubs in this transfer window.
Could Harry Kane join Memphis Depay at Manchester United? I don’t see this one happening this season, but if Tottenham receive a huge offer, then you never know.
I expect Liverpool to sign Nathaniel Clyne, adding to their recent signings of James Milner and Danny Ings.
Chelsea look set to sign Radamel Falcao on a season long loan. If he can rediscover the form he had while playing for Atletico Madrid, he could be a huge asset for the Premier League champions.

Manchester City are tracking Jack Wilshere. Although I don’t expect Arsenal to part with a player who they have huge expectations for.
Aston Villa’s Christian Benteke is also a wanted man, after rediscovering his form towards the end of last season. Liverpool and Tottenham are said to be interested.
Alex Song is likely to leave Barcelona in the near future, with West Ham keen to regain his services. Manchester City and Chelsea are also rumoured to be keeping tabs on the player.
Toby Alderweireld had an excellent season for Southampton, they will be hoping to hang on to him, but will face competition from Tottenham.
If Manchester United lose David De Gea to Real Madrid, who will replace him? It could be either Hugo Lloris or Asmir Begovic.
Manchester City are desperate to sign a homegrown player. If they fail to sign Sterling and Wilshere then I expect them to go for Everton’s Ross Barkley.
Andros Townsend has been heavily linked with Aston Villa. He would fit in well with Tim Sherwood’s philosophy.
What stars currently applying their trade overseas could possibly make the switch to the Premier League?
Dortmund pair Marco Reus and Ilkay Gundogen are reported targets of a host of premiership clubs. Both have the quality to improve any team.
Belgian central midfielder Axel Witsel is a reported target of Chelsea.

Manchester City are desperate to sign Kevin De Bruyne from Wolfsberg.
Recently Manchester United have been linked with Sergio Ramos and Bastian Schweinsteiger, two legends of European football. I think any deal to bring them to Old Trafford will prove difficult.
All top clubs are on the lookout for a proven top quality striker. The likes of Edison Cavani, Karim Benzema, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Jackson Martinez and Gonzalo Higuain are constantly linked with a switch to the premiership. But to which club?
Whatever happens in this summers transfer window, it promises to be exciting. I expect a huge amount of money will be spent on bringing the top stars to the Premier League. It will make the anticipation for the start of the new season even greater. I, along with millions of other people around the world, can’t wait!
