The nominations for the 15th annual Game Developers Choice Awards have been unveiled.
Monolith Productions’ Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor leads the pack with five nominations, including Game of the Year, Innovation, Best Design, Best Narrative, and Best Technology.
Also up for the prestigious Game of the Year is Alien: Isolation, Destiny, Bayonetta 2 and Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft.
Blizzard’s Heathstone, Creative Assembly’s Alien: Isolation and Bungie’s Destiny also tie together with three nominations each.
Polish independent studio The Astronauts are nominated in four categories for its The Vanishing of Ethan Carter title whilst Nintendo also scored nominations in several different categories including Best Handheld Game of the Year, Best Design, Game of the Year and Best Visual Art.

The awards ill take place on Wednesday, March 4th at 6:30pm live from the San Francisco Moscone Centre during the 2015 Game Developers Conference alongside the Independent Games Festival Awards.
