A possible huge spoiler for the upcoming Batman: Arkham Knight appears to have been accidentally leaked.
A recent promotion picture featuring a statue of Batman appears to show a plaque dedicating the statue in memory of the Dark Knight.
The small plaque, seen originally by VideoGamer, appears to read: “From a grateful city in memory of the Gotham Knight.”
Also the Amazon description described the collectable as “an imposing Batman memorial statue commemorating Gotham’s protector, the Dark Knight”.
The dedication seems to suggest that Rocksteady Games’ upcoming final instalment in the Batman: Arkham series will see Batman die.
The promotional image has since been removed and replaced with a plaque that simply reads “The Gotham Knight”.
Batman: Arkham Knight will takes place one year following the events of Arkham City, as Batman faces the ultimate threat against the city he is sworn to protect when The Scarecrow returns to unite an impressive roster of super villains to destroy The Dark Knight forever.
Classic Batman series characters such as Penguin, Two-Face, Harley Quinn and many more will be featured including the all-new character, The Arkham Knight.
For the first time in the series, the Batmobile will be a core element of the game with an entire new area of Gotham City to explore.
Originally scheduled for launch in October 2014 when it was first announced, the title was recently delayed until 2015.
It will now launch on June 2nd for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
