Delusional GTA V for PC petition creator claims "victory"

The creator of a petition calling for GTA V to be released on PC claimed a “victory” after the game was announced for next-gen consoles and PC.

During last week’s Sony E3 conference, it was revealed that the record breaking open world action-adventure title would be coming to the PlayStation 4 in the fall. It was later confirmed that it was to be released on Xbox One and PC in the fall as well.

A PC edition of the billion dollar making title was long rumored for release since it was first announced back in 2011. Despite strong hints appearing over the years, nothing ever came to fruition.

When the title was confirmed for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, patientless PC gamers launched a petition demanding that Rockstar Games release a PC version.

More than 728,000 people have signed the petition.

Now, the petition has been closed and the delusional creator claimed a “victory” despite the fact that Rockstar probably had a planned PC and next-gen edition in store for ages, and some of the 728,000 people who signed it probably bought a console version of the game anyway.

He comically wrote: “We did it! … I’m really glad Rockstar has made the effort to cater to the PC community and 728,000 fans who signed my petition on Change.org. I’m really excited to see how the game has improved from the console versions and what mod developers can do to the game.”

Rockstar have previously released PC editions of their games several months after the game’s original release, including GTA IV, Max Payne 3, and LA Noire.

During a recent interview, a PlayStation executive said there would be “something very special” for GTA V on the PlayStation.
