First gameplay video for Batman: Arkham Knight debuts

The first gameplay video for Batman: Arkham Knight debuted today.

Warner Bros. today unveiled the first gameplay video, shown below, as well as four screenshots for Rocksteady Studios’ upcoming final instalment in the Batman: Arkham series.

The video, titled “Evening the Odds”, details the return of Scarecrow to Gotham City as he tries to unite the Rouges Gallery and destroy Batman.

First announced last month, Arkham Knight takes place one year following the events of Arkham City and will feature villians such as Penguin, Two-Face, Harley Quinn, and the all-new villain The Arkham Knight.

For the first time in the series, the Batmobile will be a core element in the game with an entirely new area of Gotham City to explore.

It is scheduled for release in 2014 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
