Alien: Isolation is to be released in October, the game’s developer confirmed today.
Speaking at EuroGamer’s EGX Rezzed convention earlier today, developer Game Assembly confirmed that the game will be hitting retail shelves on October 7th.
“We couldn’t be happier to finally announce a date for Alien: Isolation,” Creative Assembly’s Alistair Hope said, via EuroGamer.
“The reaction we have seen so far has been simply incredible, from the screams and shrieks to the cold sweats and racing hearts. It’s the Alien game that we’ve always wanted to play and we can’t wait to let everyone get their hands on it this fall.”
Announced back in January, Isolation is based on the 1979 Alien film, directed by Ridley Scott, and is due for release in late 2014 on next-gen and current-gen consoles along with a release on PC.
Playing as Amanda Ripley, in an atmosphere of constant dread and mortal danger as an unpredictable, players will have to evade the ruthless Xenomorph as it stalks and kills deep in the shadows of a decommissioned trading station in the fringes of space. Players must scavenge for resources to succeed the mission and evade death.
