Microsoft denies new Project Gotham Racing game
Microsoft Studios executive vice president Phil Spencer has said that an instalment in the Project Gotham Racing series is not in production.
Microsoft have said that no new instalment in the Project Gotham Racing series is currently in development.
Responding to a fan on Twitter, Microsoft Studios executive vice president, Phil Spencer, said that the company wasn’t focusing on the series due to the amount of other racing franchises.
He wrote: “We aren’t currently working on PGR. I really liked the franchise, really just down to [number] of racing franchises.”
The last instalment in the Xbox exclusive series was Project Gotham Racing 4, released in 2007 to critical acclaim.
The game’s developers, Bizarre Creations, along with Activision, released a spin-off game titled Blur in 2010 for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
