Ubisoft have revealed the release window for Watch Dogs whilst also announcing that the Wii U version has been delayed.
Announcing the news via a conference call, Ubisoft said that the highly anticipated Watch Dogs title, which was scheduled for release in November last year but delayed, will be releasing sometime between 1st April and 30th June.
Whilst no official date was given, they also revealed that the Wii U version will be further delayed.
Ubisoft said: “We made the difficult decision to further delay the release of Watch Dogs on Wii U to focus the team’s resources where they could have the broadest possible benefit for both our customers and Ubisoft.”
Set in Chicago, you play as Aiden Pearce, a hacker and former thug, whose criminal past led to a violent family tragedy. While seeking justice for those events, you’ll monitor and hack those around you by manipulating the ctOS from the palm of your hand.
A few weeks ago it was reported the Wii U version of Watch Dogs had been cancelled after Italian GameStop stores emailed customers who had pre-ordered the game saying that the version was no longer available as Ubisoft decided to cancel it.
Whilst Ubisoft declined to comment on the reports, US GameStop stores said copies of the Wii U version are still available.
Watch Dogs will be available for PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 & PS3.
