Warner Bros. and The LEGO Group have today announced that the video game tie-in for The LEGO Movie will be released on February 14th.
The LEGO Movie Video Game will be hitting stores for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and PC. A launch trailer was also released, shown above.
Playing as Emmet, an ordinary LEGO mini figure mistakenly though to be “The Special” – a character thought to be the saviour of the world from an evil tyrant. Using abilities from more than 90 characters to be featured in the upcoming movie, including Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, players will experience 15 levels in the console version and 45 missions on the handheld version.
“We challenged ourselves to introduce a new element never-before-seen in any LEGO game and did that with environments made entirely out of LEGO bricks, giving players more authentic opportunities to interact with the world around them,” said Tom Stone, Managing Director, TT Games Publishing, in a press release
“This is a chance for every LEGO builder to collect LEGO instruction pages and harness the powers of the Master Builders.”
The game’s voice cast includes Chris Patt, Morgan Freeman, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett and Will Ferrell.
The LEGO Movie hits theatres also on February 14th in the UK.
