[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he nominations for outstanding achievement in video game writing have been announced by the Writer’s Guild of America.
Dooma Wendschuh, the Narrative Director for Warner Bros. Montreal’s Batman: Arkham Origins, is nominated alongside Writer & Senior Narrative Designer Ryan Galletta and Writer Corey May. Neil Druckmann’s incredible script for Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us is also nominated.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is nominated as well, with a story by Darby McDevitt, Mustapha Mahrach and Jean Guesdon and Lead Scriptwriter Darby McDevitt, Scriptwriter Jill Murray, AI Scriptwriter Nicholas Grimwood and Scriptwriter Mark Llabres Hill.
Other nominees are Marianne Krawczyk and Ariel Lawrence for their script fort God of War: Ascension and Richard Gaubert, Orion Walker, Matt Sophos for Capcom’s Lost Planet 3.
The 2014 WGA Awards will be held on February 1st at simultaneous ceremonies in Los Angeles and New York.
