[dropcap]U[/dropcap]bisoft Massive has declined to comment on previous reports about Tom Clancy’s The Division being unable to meet its expected 2014 release.
Yesterday, Roobla reached out to Ubisoft’s Massive Entertainment studio, the developers of The Division, to ask for comment regarding a report from Game Reactor about the next-gen title not being able to release in 2014 as game development has barely started, according to a source.
The source told Game Reactor: “The game engine works well, it’s not done but works well. The actual game development has barely started, however. The fact that Ubisoft has gone public with a 2014 release date feels laughable to be perfectly honest, we will never be able to release The Division this year. It’s a large project, and we have very far to go.”
Ubisoft Massive has declined to comment on the reports, telling Roobla that it does not comment on rumors and also declined to offer an update on the development of the title or whether it was still on track for a 2014 release.
