Dark Shadows
Set for release in cinemas this Friday 11th May, Dark Shadows teams Tim Burton’s dream team together once again. To get you in the mood for the gothic comedy we’ve reviewed the original TV series! Be sure to check out our Tim Burton collection competition too!
Café de Flore
French Canadian director Jean-Marc Vallée explores the effect of music on memory and experience in beautiful and complex psychodrama, Café de Flore. Also released this Friday, Café de Flore provides a neat alternative film to watch if Tim Burton isn’t your thing. Read our review here!

The Amazing Spider-man
The spider-man reboot will be swinging into cinemas 4th July. Replacing Tobey Maguire as the human spider is Brit Andrew Garfield. Love interest will come in the form of Emma Stone whilst the baddie’s shoes will be filled by fellow Brit Rhys Ifans. We were treated to a sneak peek of the film when the first full trailer was released on Friday. In case you haven’t seen it, here it is again.
Avengers Assemble
Although it’s been out for over a week, Avengers Assemble is still very much on our minds. Arguably the best Marvel product of recent years, Joss Whedon’s film subtly balances humour and action even in its effects-heavy scenes. The film has broken all records and now holds the title of biggest opening weekend, having taken $200.3 million in the U.S. and a staggering $575 million worldwide. Read our review!
