This week’s best news…
- Scary Movie 5 is on the way. Initially thought to be a remake (why, we don’t know), it is now thought to be a sequel.
The film is scheduled for release next April.
- Dan Ackroyd has again confirmed Ghostbusters 3, though whether it will actually be made is still a mystery. Talking about the project he spoke about his hopes of Bill Murray returning as well as providing some teasers of what appears in the script. His character, for example, is now blind in one eye and has a bad knee. Time will tell who will star alongside the original cast…
- Liam Neeson will return as Bryan Mills for a Taken sequel.
- Rob Corddry may be set to star in the adaptation of Isaac Marion’s Warm Bodies as M, the best friend of R, played in the film by Nicholas Hoult.
- Martin Scorsese’s name has been attached to a remake of The Gambler alongside screenwriter William Monahan’s.
