Now that summer is over, we’re starting to see some big E3 titles finally hitting our shelves. Over the next few months in the run up to Christmas we will see more and more video games getting released to help us get through the long winter months. Keep reading to find out our top ten video game picks for the month of September.

Dead by Daylight
Release: 24th September
Platform: SwitchDead by Daylight is a multiplayer 4v1 horror game where one player takes on the role of the savage killer, and the other four must attempt to escape and avoid being caught, tortured, and killed. Survivors play in third-person and have the advantage of better situational awareness. The killer plays in first-person and is more focused on their prey. Each killing ground is in a different environment, so survivors will constantly be in unfamiliar waters as they try to avoid the Killer at all costs.

The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series
Release: 10th September
Platform: PlayStation 4, Xbox OnePlay the series that revolutionized storytelling in games with The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series. Containing all four Seasons, 400 Days DLC, and The Walking Dead: Michonne, you get to experience the full story of young survivor Clementine as she grows from scared little girl to capable survivor in the zombie infected apocalyptic world.

AI: The Somnium Files
Release: 20th September
Platform: PlayStation 4, SwitchFrom the mind of Kotaro Uchikoshi (Zero Escape series director), with character design by Yusuke Kozaki (NO MORE HEROES, Fire Emblem series), comes AI: The Somnium Files. This brand-new thrilling neo-noir adventure is a detective game set in a near-future Tokyo. Play as Special Agent Kaname Date who is on the case of a mysterious serial killer, investigating crime scenes as well as entering the subconscious minds of others as he desperately hunts for clues.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy
Release: 3rd September
Platform: SwitchAfter returning to home consoles late last year, Spyro the dragon is now making his way to the Nintendo Switch with remastered HD versions of the original three Spyro Games: Spyro the Dragon (1998), Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! (1999) and Spyro: Year of the Dragon (2000).
Explore expansive realms, re-encounter fiery personalities and relive the adventure in fully remastered glory as you soar through over 100 levels playing as Hunter, Sheila, Agent 9, and, of course, Spyro himself.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne
Release: 6th September
Platform: PlayStation 4, Xbox OneMonster Hunter World: Iceborne is the highly anticipated massive expansion to Monster Hunter: World (2018) that rivals the gameplay volume of the base game and features a new icy setting, storyline, monsters, and gameplay options.
The game’s all-new story whisks hunters away to the newly discovered chilly locale that, once fully explored, becomes the largest region in world so far. The new locale is home to several new and returning monsters ready to challenge hunters throughout their expeditions, and raises the stakes with the added higher difficulty of Master Rank. Iceborne continues the skill-based progression and robust crafting system of the base game, and expands that with several new gameplay features that broaden the player’s combat repertoire. All this leads to the ultimate hunter test against the mysterious new flagship monster, Velkhana.

The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening

Explore a reimagined Koholint Island that’s been rebuilt in a brand-new art style that will entice fans and newcomers alike. Battle enemies as you conquer numerous dungeons and uncover the hidden secrets of the island. Encounter Super Mario enemies like Goombas, Piranha Plants, and more, and interact with unique locals who help Link on his adventure.

Catherine Full Body
Release: 3rd September
Platform: PlayStation 4The captivating tale of 2011’s award-winning Catherine returns in a remaster that is bigger and better than ever before. Improved visuals and gameplay, brand-new music, and enhanced multiplayer options are just some of the features that await.
Explore brand-new branching story paths centering around the arrival of the mysterious amnesiac, Rin. Dozens of new cutscenes and animated cinematics have been added to delve even deeper into Vincent’s complicated present life, as well as his past. Catherine Full Body contains over twice as many puzzles as the original game, and if puzzles aren’t your thing, the new ‘Safety Mode’ gives players the option to activate ‘Auto-Play’ at any point during a puzzle, letting you sit back and enjoy the story.
