With a lot of remasters and extended versions, May will see you playing enhanced versions of some great games. Over the past few years we’ve seen the return of our favourite childhood video games and very soon we will see the return of a certain hedgehog in a racing experience.
Mortal Kombat
Release: 10th May
Platform: Switch
After releasing last month on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, Mortal Kombat 11 is now making its way to Nintendo Switch! MK11 has already gained the reputation of being NetherRealm’s best ever game thanks to the deeper and more customisable gameplay experience. In this new instalment, players have more creative control than ever before and will experience the brand-new cinematic storyline that features new and returning fan favourite characters.
Saint’s Row: The Third – The Full Package

Experience the world of Saint’s Row for the first time ever on Nintendo Switch. Years after taking over the city of Stilwater, the Third Street Saints have evolved from street gang to household name. Rage 2

Get ready to fight the mutants once again in Rage 2. Taking place 30 years after the original game, Earth is still in complete ruin since the asteroid hit and blood thirsty mutants still roam free causing as much devastation as possible. In Rage 2 players will assume the role of Walker, a ranger who was born into the wasteland and who finds himself up against a new group who have declared themselves the new military power.
A Plague Tale: Innocence
Release: 14th May

In this brand new dark and thrilling adventure by Asobo Studio, you will join two young orphans on their journey as they flee from a group known as the Inquisition, all whilst the black death ravages through their homeland. By joining forces with other orphans, Amicia and her younger brother Hugo enact devilish plans straight from the minds of children to trick their enemies as they struggle to survive. Luckily, not everything is up against the orphans. They will use the shadows to hide from their relentless pursuers and use the deadly plague to their advantage.
Sniper Elite V2 Remastered
Release: 17th May
Platform: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch
Go back in time to the World War II ruins of Berlin in this remaster of the award-winning stealth-action game Sniper Elite 2. In an attempt to prevent Nazi rocket technology from falling into the hands of the Red Army, elite sniper Karl Fairburne has been parachuted into the war zone during the Germans’ final stand. Stealth is key as Karl finds himself trapped between two armies in a race against time. He must master his weaponry, stalk targets, and use his skill and patience to successfully complete his missions. The all new graphics and rendering technology give you improved X-ray kill camera detail as you witness the terrifying power as your bullet enters an enemy’s body.
Guilty Gear 20th Anniversary Edition

We’ve recently been seeing a mass revival of our favourite childhood games. Sonic the Hedgehog has taken note of this and is back with a brand-new kart racer. Join Sonic and his friends in this fast paced and competitive racing experience. Play online to race with up to 12 other players or play locally in one of the many co-op modes. The game also features a single player story mode to give you even more gameplay options.
Assassin’s Creed III Remastered
Release: 21st May

After recently becoming available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Assassin’s Creed III Remastered is making its way to Nintendo Switch this month. In 1775 American colonies are about to revolt and assassin Connor has sworn to secure liberty for his people and his nation. You will meet legendary heroes of American history, and together you will conspire to annihilate those who threaten liberty itself. The game also includes the Assassin’s Creed Liberation Remastered DLC which tells the unforgettable journey that takes Aveline from the crowded streets of New Orleans to voodoo-haunted swamps and ancient Mayen ruins.

Among the Sleep: Enhanced Edition

Among the Sleep is a first-person horror adventure that puts you into the shoes of a two-year-old child. After waking up in the middle of the night to mysterious sounds, you start exploring the dark to find what woke you. Exploring horror through atmosphere alone, you will find yourself vulnerable, scared, and trying to make sense of the world.
