Warner Bros. announced today the title for the much anticipated sequel to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016) based on the book by J.K. Rowling. It will bear the name Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
The first image of the cast has also been released showing off the characters who will be joining Eddie Redmayne’s Newt Scamander, including Jude Law as the young Albus Dumbledore.
Continuing on from where the first film left off, Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald has escaped custody after being captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America). As he sets about gathering followers to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings, Newt is enlisted by Dumbledore to help stop him.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will arrive in cinemas 16th November 2018.
