Recently voted as the best film of the 21st Century in a BBC Culture poll, David Lynch’s neo-noir classic Mulholland Drive (2001) is being re-released on Blu-ray and DVD 22nd May 2017, with a brand new director-approved restoration. To celebrate we have 3 copies on Blu-ray to giveaway.
Beautiful, bizarre and strangely addictive, the film begins as a botched hit results in the meeting of brunette amnesiac Rita (Laura Harring) and blonde would-be Hollywood actress Betty (Naomi Watts). Taking the viewer on a memorable neo-noir trip through Hollywood’s dark underbelly, Lynch dispenses with a conventional narrative in favour of a hallucinogenic assault on the senses that will stay with you long after the credits roll.
With Twin Peaks making a return this year, now is a good time to immerse yourself in the past works of Lynch and there is no better place to start than this masterpiece of cinema.
