The 2D puzzle-platformer adventure title Inside leads the Game Developers Choice Award nominations with six nominations.
Organizers yesterday revealed the nominees for the 17th Annual Game Developers Choice Awards and developers Playdead saw their follow up to the critically acclaimed Limbo lead the nominations with six nominations.
Nominations included Best Audio, Best Design, Best Narrative, Best Visual Art, the Innovation Award, and Game of the Year.
Shortly behind Inside, with five nominations itself, is Blizzard Entertainment’s team-based multiplayer first-person shooter Overwatch and Campo Santo’s debut title Firewatch, a first-person mystery adventure title.
The final instalment in the Uncharted series, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, also bagged four nominations for itself, earning nods for Best Technology, Best Narrative, Best Visual Art and Game of the Year.
Tim Schafer, founder of Double Fine Productions, will host the ceremony taking place on Wednesday, March 1st, 2017 from the San Francisco Moscone Center and will also be streamed live via Twitch TV.
