8.7 billion kilometres is equivalent to more than 200,000 trips around Earth, with a commercial jetliner taking more than 1,000 years to cover the same distance.
More than 88 billion Pokemon have been captured, making it roughly 533 million Pokemon a day.
Pokemon GO was also today released for Apple Watch.
