After two days of teasing, Rockstar Games have officially announced Red Dead Redemption 2.
The highly anticipated second instalment in the western series was officially announced for a Fall 2017 release for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with an official trailer to premiere this Thursday, October 20th, at 11am ET (4pm UK time).
An official synopsis reads: “Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland. The game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.

“With Red Dead Redemption 2, the team is working hard to push forward our vision for interactive entertainment in a truly living world,” said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games.
“We hope to deliver players an epic experience that builds upon everything we’ve learned making games.”
The official announcement comes after Rockstar teased on Sunday by changing their social media avatars to red and black, the iconic colours of 2010’s critically acclaimed Red Dead Redemption.
The following day they also released an image of the same seven characters against the dusk sunset.
The trailer will premiere via www.rockstargames.com.
