Whether you like it or not, the imminent release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the cinematic event of 2015, so to mark the occasion Disney have let it be known that several new Star Wars experiences are coming to their Hollywood Studios next month (luckily for them, most people seem to like it).
They will number four in total, incorporating aspects of the entire saga as well as The Force Awakens. Tours, merchandise, exhibits, even the odd sneak preview – it’s all there in the ‘Star Wars Launch Bay’ – and that’s just the tip of the iceberg!
‘Star Wars: Path of the Jedi’ will have a more general feel for those in nostalgic mood, or folks who are less familiar with the franchise, whilst ‘Star Wars – The Adventure Continues’ will focus specifically on the new movie for the benefit of those who understand the significance of the Millennium Falcon flying around the planet Jakku.
The fourth part is ‘Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple’, which is just the ticket if you’re still of a school age and fancy your chances against Darth Vader and the Seventh Sister. If all of this wasn’t enough, Disney also have plans to create a ‘Star Wars Land’, which will also be located at their Hollywood Studios – all 14 acres of it!
So, do you want the good news or the bad news? The bad news is that with work on this next project due to begin next year, ‘Star Wars Weekends’ will be consigned to the past. But the upside is that, as Disney themselves put it: “While Star Wars weekends has been a great way to enjoy the saga for a few days every year, now the Force will be with Disney’s Hollywood Studios every year.”
Fans can give the experiences a whirl from December 1.
