A new Mass Effect title is to be released in 2016, it was announced during EA’s E3 conference.
The new instalment in the series, titled: Mass Effect: Andromeda, is set to be released in the 2016 Holidays for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
“A new adventure awaits in the Mass Effect universe,” read the synopsis on YouTube.
“With stunning visuals and a new galaxy to discover, BioWare delivers the next generation of space exploration.”
No further details were announced.
Andromeda will mark the fourth instalment in the series, with it’s predecessor launching back in 2012 to critical acclaim.
Despite its acclaim worldwide, the title angered many fans of the series with criticism focusing on the game’s ending. Fans were so unhappy that they launched a campaign demanding developers to make a better ending.
One dedicated fan even wrote a near 600 page script re-write of the game.
