The critically acclaimed story DLC to Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us is to be released as a standalone download a week on Tuesday, Naughty Dog announced today.
The BAFTA award winning story DLC, Left Behind, will be released on May 12th via the PlayStation Store.
Left Behind serves as a prequel to the events of the 2013 critically acclaimed The Last of Us and follows original co-protagonist Ellie and her best friend Riley as they attend a military boarding school in the Boston quarantine zone and experience a series of events that changes them both forever.
The DLC previously won two BAFTA Video Game Awards, one for Best Story and the other, Best Performance, going to Ashley Johnson for her performance as Ellie.
Naughty Dog have previously said that Left Behind is the only story based DLC that Naughty Dog had planned.
Roobla’s Jamie Press gave it a 10 out of 10 review calling it “a triumph” and “one of the best video games ever made”.
