Dean Hall revealed during Sony’s Gamescom briefing that his hit indie PC title would be making its console debut on PlayStation 4. “Creating the PS4 version has given us cause to expand the overall project,” Hall said (via IGN). Originally launched as a MOD for ARMA 2, DayZ has quickly become one of the most popular PC titles. The MOD launched last December as a standalone title due to popular demand and currently holds over 1.5 million players. It sold more than 2 million units in less than 6 months from its launch and became the most talked about game, overcoming the launches of PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Call of Duty: Ghosts, and FIFA 14. Back in February, Hall announced that he was leaving Bohemia Interactive, the studio behind the game. Neither a release window of further details were announced.
