A revival of the Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon series has been discussed, the CEO of Sony has revealed.
During an interview with The Daily Telegraph, Andrew House was asked whether fans could potentially see a revival of the two popular series and he said that they haven’t “closed the door on that”.
“This is very dangerous ground. In concept it is something we’ve been thinking about and discussing, and this is a shift for us,” said House.
“We’ve started to say that maybe there isn’t anything wrong with going back and looking at characters that people still talk about, that were a big part of either their childhood or their youth.
“I definitely wouldn’t close the door on that.”
The last Crash Bandicoot title, to release on consoles, was released in 2008 as Crash: Mind over Mutant.
The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon was the last installment featuring Spyro the Dragon and also released in 2008 for consoles.
