Gamers who pre-order Wolfenstein: The New Order will gain access to the Doom Beta version.
At the end of a brand new trailer – shown above – for the upcoming shooter, it was revealed that gamers will gain access to the Beta version of the next instalment in the Doom series, originally titled Doom 4 but now known simply as Doom, if they pre-order the game.
Developed by id Software, and published by Bethesda Softworks, Doom was first announced back in 2007 but has been in development hell for years before production finally began in 2011, according to a report by Kotaku.
As well as that, the trailer also revealed Wolfenstein: The New Order will release on May 20th in North America and May 23rd in Europe.
Developed by Machine Games, and also published by Bethesda, Wolfenstein – a single player experience only – set in an alternate history during the 1960s in Europe, players follow William “B.J.” Blazkowicz who must launch counter offensive against Nazi powers that have taken over the world.
The game will be available for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
