The 67 year old Hollywood legend Sylvester Stallone, infamous for his roles as Rambo and Rocky, will appear on stage to share some of his private moments and insights from his career that spans over 40 years.
He will be interviewed by the Gold Radio’s presenter, Dean Martin followed by a Q&A Session with the audience.
Stallone rose to stardom after the global success of his breakthrough film Rocky (1976) which has received 10 Oscar nominations and won the Academy Award for Best Picture. His most iconic films Rocky and Rambo grew into a massive franchise, and his latest project The Expendables (2010), an action thriller movie that stars a cast of Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jean-Claude Van Damme, climbed to the Number One in the US box office on the first week of opening.
His career, however, has not been all glitz and glam. Stallone’s action hero status began to fade by the mid 1990s and many of the films he had written and starred in went without much notice. To add to his embarrassment, Stallone has been nominated Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Actor 13 times, and has won the award four times, making him the actor with the most Razzie’s Worst Actor Award. Nonetheless, Sylvester Stallone’s saga that has begun in 1972 continues to live on as proven by the upcoming Rocky the Musical in March 2014.
An Evening with Sylvester Stallone is held at the London Palladium, on 11 Jan 2014, 7.30 pm. Ticket price starts from £45.
