[dropcap]M[/dropcap]ichael Bay has cast a villain for Transformers 4, and he comes to us in the form of Frasier actor Kelsey Grammer. This means the fourth sequel of the robo-franchise will not only feature a brand new cast, but also a human villain.
This is a surprising move for Grammer who usually does not venture into big budget action. Presently Grammer has been tearing up the small screen as Mayor of Chicago, Tom Kane, in popular Starz series Boss. However, villainy is not new to Grammer who frequently voiced the devilish Sideshow Bob in The Simpsons to much acclaim.
Grammer will be playing a Government man named Harold Attinger who hatches a dastardly plan to use Cybertronian technology for military purposes. When the plan comes under the radar of a big mechanical nasty it’s up to Optimus and friends to save the day.
The sequel/reboot seems to be pushing the boat out in its attempts to keep the franchise fresh after the last two films got slaughtered by critics. The addition of Grammer, Mark Wahlberg and the always captivating StanelyTucci will most certainly help bring new life to the series.
Grammer, Tucci and Wahlberg will be joined by fellow newbies Jack Reynor and Nicola Peltz. Transformers 4 will be hitting UK screens on June 27 next year.
