Wo-Ho! Productions are running a competition called ‘Shoot Your Beloved’, which gives entrants the chance to create their own short film. The winner will have their film screened around the world alongside Wo-Ho! Productions’ their feature film Waves, directed by Pilli Cortese. Successful applicants will choose from a selection of true short stories, all along the theme of ‘Magical Connections’, to base their films on.
The Wo-Ho! Productions website explains:
“We have produced a feature film called Waves, which tells a story of a mysterious connection of two people who don’t know each other and live thousands of miles apart…They do not talk through FB or VIBER! They actually FEEL each other empathically at distance through their souls.
“Is that possible? Yes! It is! And we know that so many people out there are experiencing the same.
So we thought it was time to give YOU a voice. For once, not only you can share with the world your beautiful story but also the best 6 stories will be turned into SHORT FILMS.”
Essentially, anyone who is living this sort of unique love story has been invited to tell their tale in less than 500 words. If their story is among those chosen, then they may see it turned into a short film. This is all with the aim of creating and exploring a new genre called Transformational Film.
For the filmmakers, this will be a chance to see their work screened alongside a feature film, and also to have their film included on the DVD release of Waves.
Has your interest been peaked? For more information and to enter the competition, head over to the Wo-Ho! Productions website.
