Hello Roobla + The new iPhone SE

Quick thoughts on iPhone SE. Is it worth it?

Hey, what’s up guys! New to Roobla here, but been a pro at owning tech stuff for a number of years. Since this is my first post here, I figure I would start off by introducing myself.

I’m Karl, currently living in sunny Los Angeles. In case you were wondering, no I am not in film or production…I’m actually a Registered Nurse outside of the tech world. Yes, a nurse. But hey I’m thankful I get to afford my addiction so it works out. Currently on my arsenal of amazing tech products include my Nexus 6P (rooted), iPhone 6 Plus (stock), iPhone 4 (that acts as my iPod), Sony NEX-5T camera, PSVita, PSP, 3DSXL, 2DS, GBAMicro, PS4, PS3, PS2, Sega Genesis, and plenty more. As you can see, I have a wide-range of gadgets I use, so you can all expect me to cover a wide-range of tech products.

Looking forward to serving you all news, product reviews, thoughts on specific announcements and many more! If you guys feel you have a good article or idea for me, feel free to leave them in the comment section and let’s see if we can get it done.

Now that we got that out of the way, let’s get this party started shall we?

For those that are unaware, Apple announced the iPhone SE recently. It is the evolutionary upgrade of the iPhone 5S. It packs a 4-inch screen like its predecessor, but packs the power processor, camera upgrades, and Apple Pay capabilities of its brethren the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus.

This definitely caters to those who prefer the smaller-sized screen of the iPhone 5S (which apparently is still a lot of us since Apple said they sold $50 million units of their 4 inch devices in 2015). It offers a great entry-level price of $399 for the 16GB model (which is still expensive, but for an iPhone it’s relatively cheap). If you prefer the larger 64GB it will cost $499 without contract. Apple also offers installment plans for this and the 16GB will be $13.30 per month while the 64GB model will be $16.64. These are really competitive prices for a phone that packs a punch. The iPhone SE is available for  preorder and will be released on March 31.

As of this writing, I am even considering getting one to replace my iPhone 4S and will strongly consider selling my iPhone 6 Plus if I do end up with this. I think that small form-factor would work hand-in-hand with my Nexus 6P as my phone and the iPhone SE as my gateway to iTunes music and my iPhone games.

What do you guys think? Are you considering getting one for yourself or your loved ones?
