Tim Burton

Batman and Batman Returns

Michael Keaton is the caped crusader pitting his wits against Gotham City’s deadliest criminals in Tim Burton’s classic reimaginings of DC Comic’s Batman. The films combine the creative flair of Burton with the presence of one of the biggest comic book names of all time. With the upcoming theatrical release of The Dark Knight Rises these films will provide an alternative refresher of Batman’s roots for those wanting a take that is hugely different from that of Christopher Nolan’s.

Mars Attacks!

Tim Burton meets sci-fi in Mars Attacks in this comedy action thriller! Featuring some of the biggest names in Hollywood, including Jack Nicholson, Glenn Close and Danny DeVito, the film’s biggest stars are its large brained green aliens!

Pee-wee’s Big Adventure

Probably the least recognisable from this impressive list, Pee-wee’s Big Adventure is Burton’s 1985 family hit. Predominantly a man’s search for his beloved bike, Pee-wee’s Big Adventure has much more hidden up up its sleeve!

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Burton brought us a very different Willy Wonka in his telling of Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Johnny Depp stars as chocolate loving confectionery genius Wonka as he opens the doors to his factory for the very first time.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

Johnny Depp and Burton’s partner Helena Bonham Carter star in this musical adaptation of the well-known story of Sweeney Todd. Beware of the pies as Todd puts his barber skills to work…

Tim Burton’s The Corpse Bride

This animated tale has a lot of heart. Stylistically reminiscent of The Nightmare Before Christmas the film follows the trials and tribulations of a nervous groom as he enters the underworld and unwittingly entangles himself with the frightful corpse bride!
