Batman: Arkham Knight’s PC edition will be a digital exclusive in the UK, Warner Bros. today confirmed.

Revealed by Video Gamer, the highly anticipated title will not release as a physical copy in the UK, opting to release digitally on PC instead.

No further explanation was provided.

Previously, the studio revealed that the final instalment in the Batman: Arkham series has been delayed until June 23rd.

They also released a brand new gameplay trailer showcasing footage taken from the PlayStation 4.

Batman: Arkham Knight will takes place one year following the events of Arkham City, as Batman faces the ultimate threat against the city he is sworn to protect when The Scarecrow returns to unite an impressive roster of super villains to destroy The Dark Knight forever.

Classic Batman series characters such as Penguin, Two-Face, Harley Quinn and many more will be featured including the all-new character, The Arkham Knight.

For the first time in the series, the Batmobile will be a core element of the game with an entire new area of Gotham City to explore.

It will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
