Quantum Break is to be released in 2015, Xbox announced yesterday.
It was revealed on the Xbox Wire that Remedy Entertainment’s upcoming time-travel action title will be released exclusively for Xbox One next year.
Set in the North Eastern US Riverport University, a time travel goes wrong, which gives Jack Joyce, Beth Wilder and Paul Serene the ability to manipulate time.
Previewed back in December during the Spike TV VGX Awards, Remedy’s Creative Director, and writer of the Max Payne & Alan Wake series, Sam Lake called the game a “revolutionary entertainment experience that combines cinematic action game and a high quality live action show”.
“We’ve taken everything we’ve learned of interactive storytelling from Alan Wake and stylized cinematic action game,” said Lake.
“We’ve raised the bar much higher and brought these elements together with one game, creating the ultimate Remedy experience.”
Xbox also confirmed that the game will be showcased at Gamescom this August.
They also released a new trailer providing story details and never-before-seen footage of the game with narration from Lake, as shown above.
