The second DLC pack for Call of Duty: Ghosts has been announced by Activision.
Launching on April 3rd exclusively for Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC, the pack, titled “Devastation”, will see four new multiplayer maps and the second chapter in Extinction’s four-part episodic story.
A release for other platforms will follow at a later date.
From small to medium sized maps, the multiplayer maps will see a mountaintop Mayan temple, a mandle container ship, a giant excavation digger in South America and a reimagined version of “Dome”, a fan-favourite map from Modern Warfare 3.
A new “Ripper” tactical 2-in-1 weapon, which can quickly convert from a SMG to an Assault Rifle, is also available and the second chapter of the four-part story, “Mayday”, will see players battle against a 100-foot tall Cryptid alien boss called “The Kraken”.
Starting today (Friday 7th March) until Monday (10th), players will be able to test out the Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer for free.
“The Devastation DLC Pack continues the fast-paced, fun and imaginative gameplay that Infinity Ward and Neversoft began with Onslaught,” said Daniel Suarez, Vice President of Production, Activision Publishing, Inc.
“Ghosts’ DLC is much more than just new multiplayer maps. The teams have added new weapons; the next intense continuation in Extinction’s four-part, episodic narrative; and another epic, action film character soon to be revealed.Devastation, like Onslaught before it, is a ton of fun and we can’t wait for the community to experience it all.”
The following screenshots of the maps were also released alongside the press release.
